I am originally from Portsmouth but have been living in Maidstone since 2003. I got into photography around   1978, due to working as a sales assistant in a local camera shop. This gave me a love of cameras and photography, which I still have today. My first camera was a Praktica LB, built like a tank and completely manual, but a great camera to learn on.
While I like a range of photography styles, my main interest is Street Photography and I mainly shoot in Black and White and normally carry a camera with me most of the time.
I was lucky enough to have a photograph in an exhibition about Gillingham Riverside Park in Kent, and also had a photography exhibition in Portsmouth around the theme of the seaside. I was pleased to be short-listed in two art competitions in Maidstone. I have completed the Professional Diploma in Photography and Diploma in Street Photography (CPD)
